FIP working group on Artificial Intelligence

In 2023, FIP established an AI working group as a subgroup of the FIP Technology Advisory Group (TAG), tasked with mapping AI-related needs of FIP constituencies and providing practical resources and guidance.

This group aims to close knowledge gaps and promote the understanding and practical application of AI technologies. It is applying AI and machine learning in areas like medication management, clinical decision support, and pharmacy operations. It wishes to empower pharmacists and pharmacy teams to confidently integrate AI into their practice in a way that complements their expertise, enabling them to deliver safer, more effective, efficient, and personalized patient care while preserving pharmacists’ critical thinking and professional judgment.

This group is chaired by Dr Whitley Yi and the members of the group include:

  • Dr Régis Vaillancourt
  • Mr Chien-Ning Hsu
  • Prof. Martin Kondza
  • Mr Brent Sin Hidge
  • Ms Mariana Guia
  • Mr Mohd Shukeri
  • Mr Mauro Tschanz

  • Dr Ardalan Mirzaei

Advisors:

  • Mr Bruno Macedo
  • Dr Claudia Rijcken
